I am also quite happy right now. CLE-LAS-CLE this coming weekend and and in june CLE-FCO-CLE (returning just under the wire on 6/14 : ) ). Seems like somewhere around 12-13k bonus EQMs out of trips I'm already taking.

I am now becoming very tempted to use that Europe discount extension and Fly to FRA in may for a weekend and take the 18k out of it. Then I'm prolly easy play come year end ....I just don't feel in the mood for the TATL MR right now though

I know we have a MR forum, but it's pretty mixed. In relation to this new promotion, does anyone have a good mr from lax? Considering $300 will get you ~9868 to ewr and back, is there really something that much better?

Oo, this combines well with the San Diego fare sale. If i make one trip to San Diego during this promotion (which i likely should as i need to hunt down a place to live this fall) then I'll have earned my status with just 3 trips and less then $1,600 spent on airfare.

SAN is cheaper as part of a fare sale.

Awesome! I'm flying 11 of the 12 weeks. Thanks for the alert!

Thanks for the post! I signed up and signed my parents up. They're in Paris right now and I'm headed there next week...we took advantage of CO's low fares to Europe.

I'm looking at a May 4-5 IAH-NRT-EWR-IAH for $1448 a/i which, if my Aggie math is correct, will net me just over 50,000 miles since I'm Gold and IAH-NRT is a B-fare.

I was squawking prior to CO matching UA (and AA) today because if they hadn't, UA elites might swamp the system come this fall. Now we have a more level playing field.

The current offer is double EQM, not OnePass miles. With a B fare, you should earn 250% EQM (150% for B fare, 100% for the bonus).

But OnePass miles is still just 200% (100% for B fare, 100% for being Gold).

Brilliant if you think about the residual effects.
Plats and Golds will have to purchase tix higher up the fare class ladder to expect UGs for the next 23 months or so.
Silvers? Sorry, still back of the bus for you

Thanks, OK, I signed up and read the rules...

I'll get 2 x 11790 (23580) EQM and Ill accrue 14737 miles.

I'll make elite for 2010 on my next trip, won't need a third (paid) trip with this bonus EQM...

CO, like the other legacies, is probably doing this to preserve its existing Elite ranks rather than to swell them.

Oooh, missed it by that much. I flew SAN-IAH arriving back at 10:30pm on the 19th. That flight put me at 999,869 lifetime.

I will now smash through the 1MM barrier on CO 58 in BF this Sunday to AMS. Won't be 1MM by the end of the runaway, but pretty close to it...

That's too easy. Is there a flight to get you to exactly 999,999?

Yup. As a cheapo ticket purchasing about to be platinum again but would have been even without the promo, I'm annoyed that I will now be behind all the folk who otherwise would have only been silver or gold. Then again, I don't really pay all that much for my flights to get the status, so I can't justify complaining too much.
