You get a PC membership card. The one I received this year had a "Presidential Plus" logo near the bottom of it.

Yep. It's a full PC membership.

The card is perfect for my wife and I. It is our primary credit card and really the only one we use (we have one other backup card). We keep either a zero or very low balance on it and never have had any issues with Chase.

The discounts on the premium wines is nice too.

Hi tabTX, you'll get the extra Elite bonus miles even if don't use the card to buy your ticket.

To clarify, cova, we do have a discounted annual fee for our customers who have lifetime Presidents Club memberships. The annual fee in these cases is only $100, and includes all the other benefits that come with the card, including Hyatt Platinum status. Avis Presidents Club, $3 discount off Presidents Club Premium Wine & Spirits, Flex Elite Qualification Miles (EQMs), plus OnePass miles for every dollar you spend. To qualify for this discounted annual membership fee, lifetime Presidents Club members should call 800-346-0123 to apply. Just say you're a lifetime Presidents Club member and provide your membership details for verification.

I wouldn't count on it, cova.

You'll get a full Continental Presidents Club membership, and a complete set of membership credentials. So yes, Presidential Plus cardmembers get the exact same lounge access as Presidents Club members. The Presidential Plus card is a little unique in this respect.

Wow, thanks Scott. I did not know the Chase Pres Plus was only $100 for LT PC members. I am paying $80/year for the Chase World card, so it is well worth the extra $20 for the bonus miles. I will upgrade.

I do not need the Flex EQM either (Infinite), but 25% bonus is worth $20/per year extra for me. Thanks for the info.

The Hyatt, Avis, discount wines are a plus too. Although I have AvisFirst - Avis Pres Club I think gives 2 car upgrade - but not the free weekends like AvisFirst - after every now 4 rentals of 2 days.

There used to be a 20,000 bonus miles sign up bonus. But, with the 25% elite bonus, that offer is now gone. A bit

One more question:

I got an paper offer on my meal tray on a recent Continental Flight. The offer included $75 off first year membership fee. However, it did not mention the 25% bonus. If I apply, will I still receive the 25% elite bonus? Or does it only apply to those who sign up via the new link on CO website?

Myunderstanding is that the bonus is EQMs only, not for RDMs, so if you are already Infinite Platinum I dončt see the value. If you want the booze discount you can get some benefit, but I do not believe it is RDMs.

And a 12,500 EQM MR can be often found for less than $350, but it does require actually making the trip, which could be a drawback for folks. It is not necessarily a great deal, but it puts the card in a position of having some pretty decent tangible benefits beyond the PC membership, which it hasn't had to date, IMO. And if you are going to buy the PC membership anyways then the cost is only $100ish, which is pretty cheap for that many miles.

Likewise except that holding the card grants you President's Club membership. I simply expense the fee for the card and kill two birds with one stone.

According to the terms and conditions posted here,

http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...spx?offer=PP00

The 25% mileage bonus appears to be RDM's only, and not EQM's. Perhaps CO Insider can clarify this.

In either case, it's a great perk! Thanks CO!

Huh. I was under the impression it was a limited membership (PC Only, BP required for entry). In this case, what benefit is there to the annual PC membership over this? In my case, it would be 400 vs. 375.

Other than not having to deal with Chase, of course.

The Flex EQM is a separate item. The 25% bonus is RDMs.

This is new, just announced by CO Insider, so no advertisements will mention it for now, but it will apply to all you have the card linked to their onepass account.

It's $50 cheaper?

Other than that, none, which is why I made the switch from membership + world card to Presidential Plus.

So, for $375/year, plats get a PC membership and back to the 125%, silvers, back to 50%, and golds make out. Looks like I picked a good year to make gold last year and getting the card. Now, this card really beats the Amex plat for access.

So unless you are a Plat or Gold who doesn't have a World Card, there is no reason to pay for the traditional membership?

I'm heading out to ABQ the 17th. Now I need to find out if a) my World fee would be prorated against the PP fee and b) if the PC card would get here by then.
