Seat selection on DL operated CO award flight

I have booked award flights using CO miles - NW outbound and DL on the return (all in F).

I was able to select seats for the NW flights on nwa.com simply be entering the conf code, and doing <manage my booking>.

However, when I try to do the same thing at delta.com, it doesn't recognize the conf code, and on continental.com it won't show a seat map for either flight.

Any suggestions ? I wouldn't be so bothered for myself, but the rez is for my wife traveling with my young daughter, and want to make sure that they have seats together, and don't want to leave it to chance on day of travel.

You need the DL PNR. Easiest is to use the online chat function on delta.com.

OK, I'm feeling really stupid now; I've spent 5 minutes clicking around delta.com, and I can't find the online chat function !

You should be able to call CO and ask them for the DL PNR. It worked for me a couple of months ago.

I tried looking for the DL chat also, and couldn't find it. I even did a search for "chat", and the link that came up had no listing for online chat either.
