CO 1880

When did 1880 (SEA-EWR) change from 4pm to 2:30pm? I loved the "gentleman's redeye"; it allowed me to work through 2pm or so before the flight back. This new flight kinda stinks.

PDF timetable shows last daily 4pm flight yesterday 1/3. Now, it's 2:30p only on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

I'm ticketed on that flight in a couple of weeks. When I went to book I didn't recall a 2:30pm flight. But there it was, with nothing later but the red eye.

I fly 1880 1-2x a month. I booked it today and didn't even realize it was 2:30until I got my confirmation

And the noon flight 1680 is gone. So, SEA-EWR went from 4x daily to just only 2x or 3x.

Well, CO's 12/08 domestic capacity was down 12.1% compared to 12/07, and LF rose. They're still continuing to cut capacity, it seems.

---

Edit: SEA-IAH is similar. Went from 8x to 5x at most.

SEA-CLE is no more.

on a different route 766 ONT- IAH is gone as well, even though the flight seemed about 80% full eact time. Oh well, time go back to US as the only viable option out of ONT in the afternoon or I might want to consider a drive to LAX. (ONT to LAX in rush hour traffic in SoCal? Ugh)

Maybe this needs a new thread, but the cut is drastic in many routes.

Example, from here in southern Cal:

LAX-CLE - from 4x to 2x
LAX-IAH - from about 12x to 9x
ONT-IAH - from 3x to 2x
SNA-EWR - from 3x to 2x

It's like entering an ice age.

Yep, they're still cutting. I'm seeing it on some of my more frequent routes. Flights that existed before Christmas are no more now; and other flights have been downsized from a 73G or 733 to a 735.

UA Codeshares?

Will new codeshare flights on UA make up the difference for the cuts?

Highly doubtful. UA has already been cutting overlapping routes. They dropped EWR-LAX altogether. I see UA dropping SFO-IAH since that is mostly a feeder flight for all the transpac flights.

Add to the list SFO-EWR. We're down to five departures and the 9am ish flight is gone. SFO-CLE is down to once a day as well, at one point it was up to three, though I can't remember how long ago that was. Even LAS-EWR seems light at only five flights a day.

I guess EUA's aren't going to getting any easier.
