Thanks for the prompt reply.
Now I don't have to reply on the kindness of strangers.
But it's nice to know that I could have,

And do not forget the revenue the IAH hotels get. This is good moral building on the part of both customers and employees. The times selected are likely slow times at the hotels. CO has an interest in having good hotels at IAH to support operational delays, etc.

This event likely costs the out of town attendee around $600 maybe more. The catering, busses, etc likely cost CO up to $300 per person - which is probably the cost of the airline ticket. I think it sort of nets out.

As stated, one does not have to be CO elite. But I think you need to be a CO traveler at times. Otherwise I do not think the event would be of much interest to you. It is almost like a CO fan club party. You should be familiar with OnePass, CO planes, CO operations, etc. otherwise the discussions and presentation are meaningless.

When do the majority of people schedule themselves into and out of IAH? Is it a Friday afternoon to Sunday night thing?

See my earlier post #63 on page 5. You likely want to arrive by 4pm on Friday. Most leave on Sunday. Better to leave around noon or later on Sunday. There have been no CO sponsored events on Sunday. Some have talked about FT brunch etc - but nothing formally set up.

Some have come in on Thursday evening. At DO's #1 and #2, some had dinner with Cigarman at Morton's in downtown Houston - but no Thursday informal dinner for DO #3.

Thanks. I'm fairly sure my mother my mother would want to go again, and I have to try to convince her to fly from PHL this time.

They didn't quiz us on it, but I do think that was a required tidbit.
I heard that you will be required to know and name all movies, tv shows, and albums available on the 777 type AVOD systems. However, you will not need to know utilization on those aircraft, as rkkwan has that information handy.

If she cares anything about the cost of the airfare that shouldnt be a hard argument.

And I had a great conversation with her during one of the parties. Its a group of very nice people who enjoy meeting other people and having a good time. Last year I brought my best friend who is Concierge Mike's Mom. She is TravelBossLady and both CM and I will be sure she comes again for the next one. I want to do the Test Kitchen again. That was great.

I did that two DOs ago and absolutely loved the chocolate covered strawberrys. Now, why don't they serve them on any flight? Surely they are lighter than sundaes.

I agree completely....Do they actually serve the chocolate covered strawberries anywhere besides the test kitchen. I never have seen them in BF TATL or TPAC. I did get the great mushroom soup on my BF flts to Europe. I'm hoping for some tonight actually. Haven't checked the menu online. I'll be surprised!
