Not just elite status, but probably based on money spent on CO recently. So, if you have no miles and no posts, don't expect to get in the simulators.
My flying habits are certainly not up to the snuff of the rest of the board, so I guess a high post count and a winning personality will have to get me into the sim.

There's always the chance that your winning charm will get you a simulator ticket trade at the party the night before, if they don't give it to you up front. Last year there was some tour trading going on, and amazingly, some people were wanting to trade their simulator tickets for something else.

Why, I do believe you're right! Cigarman's post makes little sense otherwise.

Could we do it around President's day weekend, please?

A DO is a get together of FlyerTalkers.
The term just evolved, likley - just DO it - meaning just DO get together.

See here.

I am somewhat enthused as to the prospect of attending a CO DO at IAH. I doubt I'd fit in the sim, but the chance to land a 777 would be nifty.

I am sure the dates will be based on the availability of the CO execs so posting not on these dates, etc will likely have no effect.

I doubt it'd be Super Bowl weekend, right?

I'd rather be making a trip to TPA that weekend if the Giants do some damage again!

Otherwise, count me in, I'll make the time for it!

A "do" is a somewhat archaic slang term that your mom or grandmother probably used on occasion signifying a big party. Here's the definition from the on-line dictionary:

"Informal An entertainment; a party: attended a big do at the embassy."

I'm sure that you're right. I'm also sure that the dates have already been set but details yet to be worked out.
