And he's an all-around great guy, but it is the fact that he knows Larry well and has such a relationship with him that the mega-DOs exist. My recollection is that the idea of the first mega-DO came about as a bet between the two that cigarman could get some number of people to show up (20 or 50, maybe) if CO would host an open-house of some sort. Suffice it to say that the turnout was much higher than that and now CO does see the value in these sessions, just as much as we have fun at them.

I know he has a name and all that. I've even seen his picture. But how does he fit into the Continental picture? Why does he have the advance info on CO's new policies and programs? What is his relationship to Continental? Does he work for them? Is he a friend of Larry's? Does his wife walk their dog with Larry's wife or do they have the same hairdresser? He has been a wonderful resource for all of us, but I am curious about how and why he can do what he does.
He is not really a person
but more of an urban legend

Can you finish showering them with your compliments within the allotted time? You might upset the other people on that tour if you take too long and delay them!
So, without wading through the pages I did a scan and figured out that a definate date has not been set yet for DO IV? When are we supposed to get a date? I'm going to PTY on that great fare in early Feb so I hope I can do the DO
Just to show my committment to DO IV (or was it my commitment to counseling.......). I LOVED I, II & III. But after 2 hours wasting my companies' time, all I have is a semi-definate date (another digression, but sounds like most of my single life), and a fuzzy location. IAH works for me, being home and all, so if votes are being counted - theres mine.

You'll need a fee waiver, assuming that they are out there to be had this year.

I would love to, and put some faces with the names and see some of the inner workings of the business, but I'm coming back from HNL with my sweetheart the Sunday before and will need to start refilling the coffee cans again But someday...

Okay already, I am monitoring this thread from a tiny town in El Salvador in anticipation of booking my ticket. It's only been 5 days but the hotel finally *fixed* our internet and I want to book my tix and hotel asap. I need to get my CO DO on!!! After I, II, and III I do not want to break the chain! Plus I now have a roomie so I don't have to go alone.
Cigar???

Why not just wait until the discount codes come out? With where oil has been going the last couple of weeks, I can't see fares going up too soon. In fact, I'd bet prices are still a little high, since CO likes to hold seats and soften pricing at 4-10 weeks out...and we're just on the outer edge of that. Lastly, I'm not sure it is the best time to impulse buy without research, as fares have been all over the place in the last week or 2, from my experience on some leisure routes (TPA and SLC).
