Found seats on ANA, called in and told the agent the routing I wanted and he booked the two seats I needed. ()
However when I looked at the award he booked us into EasyPass F on the CO segments (IAH-DCA, DFW-IAH) causing the award to price out at 300,000 per person as oppose to the normal 160,000.
Sigh.
Call back into CO. Explain that "O" is the correct booking code. Agent: "we don't have O, oh wait, there it is. Okay, I can plug it in but it looks like MS did not confirm your CAI-NBO flight."
Sigh.
Told her not to do anything and that I'd just call back in the morning. Either way I've got a PDF and email of the trip so I'm hoping CO's system is just "confused" (it is Saturday night afterall and what self-respecting GDS system is not pounding the brews on a party night?)
Only other back up plan is doing IAH-GRU-JNB for the outbound (as getting there's the hard part, space coming back is considerably more open.)
Whatever you gave me in the Tower Lounge worked phenomenally well, thank you. Also big to :rollpuck: for his pharmaceutical assistance.
FRA-PHL was another snoozefest for me thanks to a horrific back spasm that I woke up with. Did wake up for the pasta service and again for the sushi. Smooth flight for all but about 20 minutes.
Oddity: LH A333's in C and F do not have interior overhead bins.
Hey CM! So glad that the arnica worked -- it's a homeopathic anti-inflammatory -- you can get it at Whole Fds, etc. -- great for muscle aches & the like. I should have just given you the tube -- it would've been good for the back spasm, too.
I was awake for most of my flight back to EWR -- watched 3 movies & 2 documentaries!
Now just trying to figure out when I am going to fall back asleep -- clearly on FRA time now!

I'm still here. I also managed to not book a hotel room for tonight. Whoopsie. The good news is that the hotel I thought I booked on a pre-paid rate is apparently a dump so I get away from that. But now I need to find a room that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Called back today and it looks like we were able to get everything straightened out. Found space on LH via Angola with a slightly less bast*rdized connection.

Congrats - that seems to be pretty extensive itinerary indeed.
