Wow - I missed a busy day in The Box.

Thank you to those who gave input on KE redemptions - I'm still a bit worried. I'd like to do [JFK|ORD|ATL|IAD|DFW|LAX|SFO|SEA]-ICN (stopover)-BKK on KE but flying NW or CO to NRT or HKG could also be possibilities. I know DL also does ATL-ICN, but I'd have to make sure they use their lie-flat BE seats on that route...

We'd also like to get down to SYD or AKL, but that would likely be a separate ticket that I'll just purchase.

Oh the fun...

I saw the new front page -- not sure I like it.

gbryan84, I would certainly consider you a Denizen.

In other news, I'm out of a job.

Thanks to all. Straight-up layoff. When I got called in to get the news, I was told (of course not sure how true it is) that some of the ACY properties are considering closing the casino floor overnight. I had no idea it was that bad and I'm apparently one of almost 400 that got Das Boot this week.

I told myself for a long time that I only wanted to spend five years in AC, and I'm thinking that the upside in this is that this past June was the 5-year mark. It's no secret that my attitude went in the toilet recently, and my boredom and lack of creative options at this job was largely to blame for that. I have a few connections in PHL and the new project that's being built in ABE. I made a call on the ABE thing yesterday, quite ironically.

Oh well. The proverbial droppings hit the fan every so often.

Having experienced a layoff, I know what you are going through. The first thing I did was what you did, make a phone call... then another... then another... I went into full networking mode. Eventually, a job was found. I wish you luck in your search. I am in my search mode now. I may have something soon. Fingers crossed for you and I.

Sorry to hear about your job loss CM.

I have good news. My son scored two touchdowns in today's football game! And they won the game.

YIKES!! Sorry to hear that. Even reading the explanation (which seems reasonable) it still sucks. Cheese steaks are on me tomorrow; it is the least I can do.

And I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance. j/k

Congrats! Grooming your son for the NFL, so he can support you? Nice! Anything to build confidence in your son.
