This is the topic I've been waiting for since the Sky Team partnership ended! Si Yu'us Ma'ase (thank you) as they say from Guam and here's to what will be a very beneficial and fruitful alliance for CO.

The new "All lounge location" page on co.com is a fantastic tool! No need to go from website to website anymore to find the perfect lounge. The tool on staralliance.com wasn't so great either... http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...tions/all.aspx
A little confused with the wording on the website though about lounge access:
Quote:
Star Alliance Gold Elite members may also access Presidents Club lounges and designated Star Alliance Gold lounges. Continental, United and US Airways Star Alliance Gold Elite members may access any Presidents Club, Red Carpet Club and US Airways Club on the day of international travel.
All other Star Alliance Gold Elite members may visit any designated Star Alliance Gold lounge before departing on a domestic or international Star Alliance member airline flight.
This seems to suggest that US based Star Alliance Gold members (ie from CO, UA, US) can't access other member airlines' lounges even if they have an international departure that day.
This is contrary to what has been announced before and repeated by Scott here. Needs some clarification.

You can either either ask us to price the itinerary without the surcharge, or you can pay the surcharge and get automatically refunded (we have a catch net for those that slip through the cracks).
Thanks for the update Scott have a safe flight tomorrow and congratulations on a wonderful new day for Continental!

As COInsider stated above it is a mistake they are working on. I am on hold they are attempting the workaround. I will post what happens although I may have to wait until tomorrow to book but, at least my ticket is on hold.

I have completed the ticket. After speaking with the electronic support desk they were able to use the YQ workaround and the taxes came to $92.60. Although it was a little bumpy as each system comes online it seems to be headed in the right direction and I am very excited for the future. GOOD NIGHT!
Hopefully there is reciprocity with elite bonuses on the United side. Currently we only get them on UA and trans-atlantic LH flights. If I could get the bonus on CO I would not hesitate to book.
