I will be flying EWR-BRU in J and BRU-EWR in Y. Metal is 772. I plan to recline fully, as soon as possible, on the outbound (no meal), so I am want to be cognizant of those around me. Typically, I will book the window in the last row of J in these instances. However, I have never flown on CO's 772, which, I believe, has lie-flat seats in J. Currently I am in 6E because there's a partition behind the seat, but the lav may be obtrusive. With a lie-flat, will I actually be reclining into someone else's space, no matter where I sit? I'll reconfirm a different seat if reclining isn't obtrusive to others.
On the return, I am in Y. Currently, I am in 32J. How is 18F? I can't tell for sure if this is a bulkhead with extra room. Can anyone offer a recommendationn between the two?
The 772 seats are not actually lie-flat, but they are pretty close. And if you recline you will be in someone else's face, unless you choose the last row in the cabin.
On the return, row 18 is not a bulkhead row; row 16 is. Row 32 does have some extra room.

Your seatback won't be in anybody's face in any J seat, unless that person decides to get off his/her seat to put his/her face there. Or if he/she's climbing out from the window and you're in B or K. Any D or E seat will be fine if you're flying solo and don't want the person behind you to touch your seat. I don't think 6DE are good seats as they're next to the lavatories.
I sat in 32A last week on CO 33 and was happy for the extra legroom. The lavatory lines near the row aren't a problem till towards the end of the flight, so less difficult than you'd think. Still, go for row 16 if it opens up...

32ABCJKL have unlimited legroom, except 32AL, which, depending on one's size, have slightly restricted legroom on the side due to the bulge of the emergency exit slide. 31DEF have a bulkhead in front of them, but legroom is not at all restricted unless one is more than 6'1" or so (despite what seatguru says). IME, the legroom in 31DEF is the same as 16DEF. I flew back from AMS in 31D the other day and actually prefer it to 32ABCJKL because it feels a bit more private. People congregating near the lavs really was not an issue, and the flight was nearly full.

Thanks for the comments.
In looking at the seat chart on CO.com, the middle section of rows 16 and 17 aren't even shown (grayed out or otherwise). A wall is shown in front of row 18 in the middle section. Why is that? Also, 31DEF are grayed out, and I wonder if these are held until 24 hours out? Since 32ABCJKL are open (except for me in 32J), I am making the assumption on 31DEF.

By the way, this is CO61 on April 30.
16/17/45DEF as well as rows 36/37 all exist and will appear on the seatmaps about 3 days before your flight. Unless Ship #12 is still flying and you're on that flight, then some will remain blocked. Otherwise, some of those seats will be available then, but 16/31DEF probably not until OLCI.

Those LCD screens on the bulkhead are pretty bright, and they have Airshow on throughout the flight. Those who are sensitive to light may not want Row 31.

From the above picture it appears that the tv screen for 32ABC is up high (almost against the ceiling) in the cabin, is that true? It really looks unusually high and would give you quite the neck pain after a long journey.

32ABCJKL and 31DEF all have their TV screens pulled out from the armrests. [And therefore fixed armrests and slightly reduced seat width.] Those screens you see in the pictures show the safety videos and the Airshow throughout the flight.

Sweet. Thanks rkkwan. I'm in 32J IAH-NRT and was a little concerned.
