The day of the DO is FINALLY HERE!!!!
Safe travels to all who are on their way to IAH for the festivities.
My wife still can't believe people would come from the far points of the world for a gathering of frequent flyer geeks. But then she didn't understand why I went to Memphis to see an museum exhibition of motorcycles.
See you all tonight! Got my hotel last night, figure instead of driving home each day, better to take the shuttle to the hotel, even though I live local
Wish that I would have signed up. This project should have been over (In Houston area). But I am still here and I may be sitting around with nada to do.

Same thing here. I'm getting a lot of strange looks from people who ask me "what are you doing this weekend?"

Yeah, with the liquor consumption, I agree... even if we're local, the hotel is the best bet.

Last night, Cigarman made a frightening statement: that this will be the last big DO. He didn't elaborate, at least that I heard.

I checked into the Sheraton yesterday. See you guys and gals promptly at 7 PM at the hotel whose name I will not mention.
I think he said Larry wanted to spread the wealth to some of their other hubs. Give locals in that area more of a voice and a chance to attend, which really makes sense if you think about it.
Anyway, it's way too early to quizz cigarman on all that. I'd let him get through with this one first.
