I purchased a kiosk upgrade and my fare was changed from L to ZN. is this normal? I thought ZN was for easypass award

Worried I just wasted hundreds of $ on an upgrade and they threw me into the wrong fare bucket

So are R and ON defunct? They both still show up on CO.com searches.

Doing some searches and trying to decode this mess, I see ON inventory for CO metal, which has to be a bit off since CO metal doesn't have 3 cabins...

Thanks - so I'll follow the Os and Is for awards and the Rs for upgrades, and basically ignore everything else, perfect.

The short answer is that things are in flux. I believe that the new fare codes - but NOT the earning rates - do now apply to CO operated flights but not yet to UA operated flights. From what I can tell they are adjusting the CO side now and then either fixing the UA later or just waiting until they migrate those flights into the SHARES system next year. I do believe the new earning rates take effect on January 1 for both sides.

So I used a Regional upgrade for an upcoming 2 segment flight.
One segment cleared at booking, the other is waitlisted.
Both list as 'R' not 'RN', even tho I am Plat with CO.
Is this something to be concerned about, particularly for the waitlisted segment?
Or has not everything converted over yet?
Dreading another 50 minute rebuilding-the-reservation phone call...

Be grateful one cleared at booking. Babysit your other one, either with an Expert Flyer alert (if you subscribe), or checking R space daily (like me). No guarantee even if R space comes available that CO.com will automatically process your waitlisted UG (versus what you may be used to with UA).
