Mods are currently drinking a large bottle of gin in MUC and looking at the Bavarian scenery. Get with the plan.

airbus mockup tour

I just have to clear something up. There were two busses that went to the mockup center. We were on the first one. Our group was divided into three sub-groups. Each subgroup got a different tour guide.

Ours was fantastic. We saw the 350xw, 380, 340/330, and 320. Each had multiple interiors for various possible configurations and the whole thing was awesome.

Sorry for the group that lost their guide, but most of us had great guides with wonderful explanations - I found the entire afternoon there to be awesome.

We (the first bus) also got a stop at the gift shop (unfortunately they weren't quite staffed up to handle the entire crowd...)

Yes I did arrive at the hangar in Oslo just in time to hop onto the bus out to our aircraft.

The pause in updates is I guess because Airbus doesn't allow cameras, and then in the Tower lounge we only had 2 hours before immigration shuts so we all concentrated on talking and drinking.

I was on the tour with the vanishing guide -- a Russian fellow who didn't seem to know much and might as well not have been there in the first place -- and when we realized this, we just did our own walk-through of the half-dozen fuselage mock-ups until we were hooked up with someone who knew what he was talking about (one of the actual sales managers). So we had a bit more time to sit in the various exotic seats and kick the tires than those under the watchful eye of a guide. I must say, we were quite tempted to open a bottle or two of the booze and enjoy ourselves even further...

Also from my side a big "Thank you!" to the organisation team of this DO.
We had fantastic 3 days with all that tours we did. Lufthansa and SAS were great hosts and the Condor Crew on our charter was amazing.

Sorry for the pause in blog posting. I'm still desperately trying to catch up on just enough sleep to be slightly coherent. There will be more, I promise.

The tours in Toulouse were awesome as was everything after. Food, booze and friends. And that bottle of gin and the scenery in MUC wasn't bad at all.

To the organizers and sponsors of the MegaDO, a BIG heartfelt T H A N K Y O U ! ! ! !
This was an amazing event, and although we are exhausted, it is something we did enjoy immensely and will never forget. It was great seeing so many of you again, and to meeting new friends.

We are in the Senator Lounge near A26 in Frankfurt, waiting for our flight to MUC connecting to Naples, for our real vacation

Safe trip home everyone---and thanks again for everything!
