Unfortunately, I have to drop out due to some lst minute work-related issues surfacing. With the help of Oliver & Thommy another participant was found to take my spot.

I want to thank them for putting all this effort and the smooth transition of my res to the new participant.

YOU guys all enjoy what I am sure will be an unforgettable week.

ORD Evening Do, Monday the 2nd

I have had an avalanche of PMs regarding the venue and there is definitely a preference for GIORDANO'S, home to the deep dish pizza that Chicago is famous for, and the menu looks diverse enough to handle any dietary issues.

www.giordanos.com/about.php

GIORDANO'S ROSEMONT
(847) 292-2600
9415 W. HIGGINS RD.

As also noted in the exchange of posts below, it is closer to the main cluster of ORD hotels, at W Higgins and Des Plaines (North) River roads. It shares a parking lot with the Westin, so those at ORD or the Hilton (or coming from the clusters of hotels elsewhere) can catch that shuttle over and back. It is also up the road from one of the several Marriotts in the ORD area (Marriott Suites), offering a second more confusing shuttle option. Or there is always the Rosemont subway station and you can walk up Des Plaines (North) River Road about 1/4-mile, as would the folks at the Hyatt O'Hare and Crowne Plaza. It is a short walk from the other hotels in the area, including Hyatt Rosemont, Hilton Garden Inn and Courtyard.

I will call ahead and see about getting one or two large tables set side in a corner of the dining room for us. It will be a Monday night, which is generally a quiet night for restaurants.

So those interested, you can gather from 6p and we should be there through to 9:30/10p...I know some have indicated they are getting in later in the evening, but we must get over to UA by 7:30a next morning!

I think that video of the Condor FA's went to Shareholder's head. I'm staying at the Marriott the night before, and will find my way to Hooter's, or wherever else might turn out to be the final venue. I look forward to asking the front desk at the hotel, "How do I get to your local Hooter's from here?"

Or you could try...

"I hear from a Shareholder, that you have quite the Hooters here in Chicago..." or something along those lines!

Dress Code

I assume the dress code for all events is slacks/shirt (business casual) (ladies something equivalent) and there are no dressy coat and tie events?

After reading about this and not being able to go since I'm at school and don't have the money, I became jealous of all who are going. In two more years I get to be on the tarmac at Boston's Logan Airport when I fly to Switzerland though! But still jealous you get to see Airbus' facility

I got my UA locator from checkmytrip, however .bomb can't display my itinerary. Is this normal?

Shareholder, my plan is to stay with friends in ORD. If they are out of town I will grab a room and go to the owl restaurant. I won't know until Nov.1.

Attn: Monday Nighters at ORD

Got a PM from someone who suggested we might find GIORDANO'S a more interesting and city-appropriate venue. It is home to the deep dish pizza that Chicago is famous for, and the menu looks diverse enough to handle any dietary issues.

www.giordanos.com/about.php

It is also located closer to the main cluster of ORD hotels, at W Higgins and North River rds. So can I ask that those who are planning to be at ORD and join us, please PM which restaurant you'd prefer and I will post a decision next week.
