Sounds like a fun time to me!! I have a couple of trips downunder that I'll be doing in the near future, so putting this one down as a maybe - or should I say "GOLD" is good by me!

I was born in Adelaide (but moved to SYD many years ago) so once I figure out how I can fly into ADL for a weekend and not see my huge extended family down there, then I might be able to attend .
Please put me down as a "maybe" with MINI DG as well.
HOTELS: I wish SPG had a property there, but I hopefully can find a Crown Plaza or similar (IC) to rack up some points in. I am a HILTON nothing .

Nevertheless, I would like to put Franny and me down among those who will try to get there. As opposed to the past two years when we booked awards at or near the 331 day mark, this time we will let the airline competition situation settle down somewhat before looking for seats. It is not unlikely that there will be some real bargains even better than those that are now showing.
Adelaide is one of the great places to visit in Oz. It was only a few years ago that we stopped there for three days and visited the Barossa and took Rex down to Kangaroo Island. That was one of the best three day stops that we ever made and would like to repeat some of it.
I will also chime in with an endorsement of the Hilton which was excellent in facilities, service, and of course, location.
Having thoroughly enjoyed the last 2 do's I'll be doing my utmost to get to Adelaide next year. It's been over 20 years since my last visit so it's probably about time to head down there again!
Suppose I'd better add myself as a Platinum starter (to get my 7th like Glen) and add Mrs QF WP, mini QF WP and mini QF WP #2 as Silvers. mini #2 will be 7 months by then, so barring illness we'll all be there.
Of course, bringing 2 mini's will slow me down a little on the social aspects like Cairns...but I know there are enough willing FT'ers to help us look after them. Alternative is to bring a grandparent or two . If I didn't bring the mini's, there'd be hell to pay from a number of FT'ers who will expect them to be there (so they can get their fix).
Staying at the Hilton might be harder to justify with 2 mini's...I really will need an apartment to stay in by then
I believe somewhere I put in a suggestion about a lunch or dinner at Penfold's Magill Estate Restaurant. Happy to help with the organisation - as I am a member of their Cellar Door Club, I might be able to get a good deal on the price (and certainly some good deals on wines which can be shipped back to home)
