Just called where we booked last year. They only book 2 months out. I have an alarm set in my Treo.
If that doesn't work, there is another solution, but I would need to pay money for a room from U of M, and would request everyone chip in for the room. I can't see this costing more than $10 a person.
And another place just occurred to me.
I still think the free room will open up, as they very rarely have weekend use, and especially not for their big room.
There will be a DO. Don't refund your tickets yet.
Another option may be to talk to the 4 points: if you guarantee to book say 15-20 rooms, they may comp you a meeting room for a few hours.
I have connections at the Kensington Court and the HI Exp (same management), but FTers will probably not want to stay there due to limited point collection opportunities.

Thanks for the idea.
I personally am not comfortable guaranteeing 15 or 20 rooms.

Check back in the middle of May.
If I can't get the free one by then, I'll let you know how much the paid one will cost each person. It should be under $15 a person, but I really think the free one will come through.
This sounds like a must-do, DO. (And since I live in Ontario, Canada -- there should really be no reason for me to miss it!).
Bikeguy, your DOs are very well-reputed... thanks for consistently organizing such informative events. I was going to look into travel arrangements this weekend, as I'd absolutely love to attend. However, I was just wondering if you were able to secure a larger venue? As much as I'd love to participate this year, I'd understand if you're already at capacity and don't have room for further attendees (I should have jumped in sooner!). Just thought I'd check before I made all my reservations for the weekend.
