The last piece is in place. Webers is giving us their back room, which holds 54. If we are over, some people will need to sit in the regular dining room. 9:30 AM.

Why don't we take a head count during the meeting and then call the hotel etc.
Now that I am late in the game, I have a question about the hotel.
Where do you suggest is a nice, convenient place to stay that I can carpool to and from the seminar with other Fters? For this trip, my focus is not to find cheap place, but rather, safe, nice and convinient. This is my first DO and first time in MI. Any suggestions, appreciated.
This seemed fairly convenient and reasonable. Don't know about 'nice', but reviews were decent.

$123 including taxes for 2 nights. $69 Friday; $54 Saturday.
I'm not free to offer a ride, as the 2 of us are flying to ORD and hitching with friends. But our friends might say we can squeeze one more to shuttle to the DO. PM me if ride needed.
Never stayed in it but I visited one of its rooms when a friend's parents stayed there for a night. I would not do that to my parents For that money I would pay just a little more for another hotel to get a bigger room with much better beds!

Just noticed that 4Points on Boardwalk in Ann Arbor has made rooms available again for cash (iirc, $119 and $134) for those still chasing the SPG Free Nights promo.
Award night for straight points were also available

Thanks for the heads up! But we are tough, and cheap, so will brave it and cross our fingers.

meals are planned currently for this Do but for those staying a bit longer or traveling elsewhere in Michigan, there is the Michigan Best Eats thread for suggestions or a place to post your favorites
