I feel honored to have been chosen among such a well traveled crowd. Wow. And Randy, over the top again with generosity, sending five squads. Thank you.
I would also like to thank my parents, God, Prime Minister Abdullah Bin Ahmad Badawi, the lift attendant working the Highline Express lift at Vail, Paul Blart, the inventor of the Snuggie, the Empire State Building, Mr. Bean, that girl from the bar on Friday night, Wayne Gretzky and cookie monster. I apologize if I left anyone out. Thank you!
People from SEA and DCA travel a combined greater distance to Europe than two people leaving from SFO? Clearly, we'll have no problems eliminating this team. One can't do math and the other can't spell (Deluth??). And that's just for starters ...
Really? Is that the hippie math they teach in San Francisco?
The distance between one edge of San Francisco to the other is greater than the distance from Seattle to DC? Really?
I guess that does makes sense for someone who thinks where they live is the entire world!
---oooh... ouch!... too hot to handle!

geo, I know your parents taught you better. You're not supposed to make fun of people who stutter when they type!

As long as we are playing English teacher, speed is traditionally measured in miles per hour. Something about glass houses comes to mind. It seems to me that l'etoile is en chute libre, a harbinger for Team Deux.

The most important lesson she’s learned is to never say: But that’s impossible officer, the car tops out at 165 miles an hour.

National Toboggan Championships: Warm Up for Team GEC
Now that the excitement is settling in rather than bouncing around, our fierce warrior like win win win selves are kicking in..... To help tame some of the fire, Team GEC is getting OUT of the house and warmin' up at the Snow Bowl in Camden Maine this weekend.... We'll be running two toboggans at the National Toboggan Championships Sat. and Sun. If we're really good you might expect to see some video......
For whatever its worth, I haven't been able to log into this thread tonight-- anyone else having the same issue? I can however post (phew!) this important update.
I'm very pleased to see Randy keeps surprising people who enter his competitions.
Nice work, Randy!
Now get back to the Missus while she's still talking to you.

AND I will leave you with this. For those members who would still like to enter this on you own, I will personally pay $300 of you entry fee for the next two teams that may decide to go for it. AND, I will commit to the others that if this travel competition goes forward, I will sponsor at least one team in the next go around and thus, your chances are not ending, they are only just beginning.
Congrats to our teams and I do hope to one day meet each one of you and personally thank you for your support of FlyerTalk - Go, Team, Go!
[note: of the 10 members selected, I have only met two of them personally]
