I'd heard about alanw's bashes for years and when I finally get to one I am down to about half-speed from a lousy cold, the worst I've had in years. It did however prevent me from getting myself banged up from a crack up on the little cars at Naturlandia.
But it was just as good a Doo as I heard that it would be and Franny and I would like to thank alanw, Patxi, and dragonfirebcn for putting it all together. The hotel and settings were great and it was so good to see so many of our old friends all in one place and also have a chance to meet some great people we had not run into before.
I would like to extend a special kudo to dragonfirebcn for his effort in getting over to the bus station on Friday and then making sure that the crowd milling around uncertainly in the lobby of Le Meridien got the information that the bus to Andorra had not been stopped by the strike. Thanks again, dragonfirebcn.
Despite the amount of work we could have put into organizing this year's BOO DOO, a party like this is not successful without a crowd who knows how to enjoy it.
So, I'd like to say THANK YOU ALL* for making this event so fun and enjoyable and full of stories to tell and remember until the next BOO DOO comes! It was a wonderful weekend, and me, as everybody, enjoyed meeting my friends and defintely making new ones! I hope to see you all soon!
I would like to thank our wonderful hosts/organizers. What a wonderful location and unforgetable people. Part of the weekend was never remembered...jet lag and red wine.
Sorry to be so late on the kudos bandwagon, but I just got home. Of my seven flights, I think 6 were late, one rerouting had me downgraded, the airline trashed my luggage (interline, no one going to take the blame there, plus I did not file a report because I wanted to catch the bus to Andorra, which I missed by 5 minutes), and a long dash in Frankfurt this this morning (complete with wanding and pat down)...And I still had an unforgetable time at the Doo.
Great job.

Actually, a week ago right now we were up to our necks in hot mineral water awaiting a massage.
I need to offer a very special thanks to everyone who so generously schlepped various junk food products across the pond. My kitchen looks like a 7-11 right now. And of course a double-special thanks to Missy for organizing Operation HFCS Drop.

Oops...you are right. Clearly I'm not ready to be back to the real world since I can't keep my days straight.
