Friends, it's been a great day, still happening...
We're enjoying the wine and dining in the Hunter Valley.
szg... happy birthday yourself, tomorrow! If I'd not contacted SQ to legally change our tix from CMB we'd be travelling to your Do, en route from NYC.
Bevan Bundy, thanks again for this kind greeting - all the best for yours, too! ^ ^
We have started our wines collections, having tried perhaps 25 wines today and bought some good vintage buys, thanks to our wine gurus. I have some tips for your next trip!
^^ ^^

Ben and N830. thanks and thanks for your replies on FT, which are informative and a pleasure always.
Despite the carnage affecting all of our personal assets, it's nice to get away and have a fun weekend in wine country. ^

Chris, thanks for your messages and your good work on FT.
Thanks Keith for reporting on your latest (for now!) RTW via HNL.
A blast to read and reminisce, as usual.

There are a few Australian birthdays coming up, so watch this space.
FYI there are some very interesting wines produced in the Hunter Valley, though some are quite hard to get. I'm happy to share info (if not bottles) with anyone interested.
More from me on the topic in future.

Still having a great day.
Who knew one could find chowder in the Hunter?
(It's always a good trip when something is learned.)
Unfortunately I am still overindulging on both the wine and smiley front...
Maybe I can consider myself ever-so-slightly wiser.
