It's something not available to me locally, so I don't realistically see shipping to myself to re-ship it out in time for Xmas.

Should I just order it and send it out as it is? Perhaps alert the Santee that s/he will be getting a box from BrandX retailer but it's to be saved until Xmas?

Other suggestions, maybe? Help?
Try calling a retailer who does have it, and ask them if they can send it as a gift, sending you the invoice. You could also print out information about it, from the retailer, send a gift card from the retailer for the amount of the item, and ask the recipient to use the gift card for that. A third option is to see if you can find another FT'er in the area of the retailer and see if they can help. A fourth is to send a message to the recipient somehow--asking someone to email the recipient or send a PM for you (if you want to remain anonymous), asking for contact information for a spouse/relative/friend who would be willing to help.

I'm a patient person. Not to mention, SEA based gifts have a tradition of arriving late.

Not only is it fun receiving gifts from Secret Santa, this year I had a blast finding the "perfect" gift to send. I got more creative finding this gift moreso than I do for friends, because I do not know the person, so I had to use few clues and my imagination.

My Secret Santa . . .

Dear Secret Santa . . . I loved my Post Card! ARIZONA??? My first clue?

Just letting you know that I have been a very, very, very good girl this year. I am dancing around with my post card thinking "warm" thoughts as I watch the burning fire in my OK fireplace.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us William; and thanks again for doing such a great job with the Secret Santa program!

Hint: Open the box...

Remember, the box your package comes in, might not reflect what's inside...

Someone who expressed disappointment because they think they received a re-gifted item that goes for $0.99 on e-bay is in for a big surprise when they actually open the box.

Many of us look forward to this each year and put quite a bit of thought and effort into the gifts we select and send. Be careful before you jump to conclusions.

I'm willing to work as a middleman. Send the gift to me, and I can forward it from my home. I'll never tell the secret....and it can't be traced back to Ms. chick.

Of course if you make public in this thread what you are going to do it kinda defeats the "Secret" part....

A little note to my SS:

Thanks for the greeting card.. although I suspect that the enclosed chocolate got caught in the postal sorting machine, as the envelope arrived today in an opened, shredded state (no chocolate). It's the thought that counts!

I used to fake out my daughter by putting stuff in a toothpaste box, a toaster box, a monitor box and make her think she was getting boring stuff! Fooled her SO many times!!!

Yay shopping is done! Plus, I just saw that some stuff shipped out today and the rest should be going out in the next couple days.

Just a word for my Santas so they don't flip out: the address I gave is the one I will be at for Christmas, but I am not set to arrive until the 23rd (this is FT after all and I have some mini vacation/MRs coming up).

Happy Holidays!
