FTers really make great secret santas...I tend to get them better presents than my own family. Maybe it's because FT helps me earn the points I cash in to get most of the presents.

OMG

OMG
This sounds so much fun. So let's me make sure. I will have to send out a present to someone and then someone else send me a present?

If I send out two presents, I would get two back ??

And EACH present has to cost at least 50 dollars?? Thats great...

I know this is SECRET , but what if I wanna write a thank you letter to the person who got me the present ??

It is even more fun than it sounds.

Yes

Yes

2 ways:
1 - There should - but might not be - a return address on your package.
2 - You will want to place a heartfelt Thank You, detailing what you received, in this thread. Look in last year's thread and you will see.

Hey Santa! Halloween is over, the election will soon be over, & I know you're going on an anniversary trip. When do we get our assignments?

Cheers.

The best way to thank your sender is by posting on the thread that you received the gift with whatever specific thanks you'd like to offer. Sometimes there is no choice but to identify a sender (e.g. Amazon) and that leaves with you a name/address to use (NOT an FT handle, necessarily), but often the sender wishes to remain anonymous. Just don't think the latter situation means not to post at all that you've received the present.

As a little caution - just because there is a name/address on the packing slip, it doesn't mean that that person has to be the one to have sent you your gift - just that that person placed the order with the vendor.

As for your $50 question - you might want to re-read wharvey's first post - that is the maximum, with $35 as the absolute minimum. There have been very generous FT'ers that went higher but 35-50 is the expected range.

As the original post indicates, assignments go out after the December 1 deadline passes. If I get another early signups, I MAY do some early assignments. Problem is that I do not have enough yet... believe it or not... after many years of doing this... I need more and more to sign up to do some early assignments that do not duplicate (and no guarantee of no duplicates either!)

If you cannot wait until the December 1st deadline or when the assignments come out, please let me know so I can remove you from the list.

William

Well, I really did have a great time doing this last year. It was fun researching my FT to get gift ideas, so I would love to do it again. PM on it's way!
