I'm not outing myself, but other than my SS recipient posting that s/he received a package & it was under the tree for Dec 25th, s/he hasn't been back on to post whether s/he actually liked what s/he received....

Many thanks to Super Santa (aka, wharvey) for again putting together the FT SS. It's a lot of fun, both to do & receive, and also to read what everyone else got/what their interests are!

Only 11 more months until we gear up for SS '09

Cheers.

To my PA via MT Secret Santa: Glad your luggage finally caught up to you - and see your package still beat me home ! Thank you for all of the goodies! The movie, the CD, the supplies to replenish my baggie, all of the goodies! THank you so much !!!

I got my Santa-wires crossed. I acknowledged my PA and NYC Santa gifts backwards. I apologize for having done that, but I am very appreciative of both Santas excellent gifts. Thank you again very much !

To my Indiana Santa....

Thank you / Muchisimas Gracias! As soon as I opened the package I ran to the grocery store to get ingredients. The Tapas cookbook is great and I was thinking of buying the Mario Batali/Gwenth Paltrow book myself. Both books are very much appreciated.

I will also put the AC pass and wifi card to good use!

wharvey - It seems the whine factor is seriously dialed down this year ... does that mean that everything was sent & received, or are there issues still to be followed up?

It'd be great if we had a 100% success year with the exchange!!

Thanks for asking....

I am still tracking down a good dozen or so gifts that have not been verified as received. Some are due this week, some people are not home to know if they got their gift, and a few people just seem to want to ignore me and not answer my annoying private messages...

Even Santa is short a gift right now.

William

Bummer that this isn't a clean 1-1 process.
Tracking to see if received is much better than trying to find out if it was ever sent ... so that is something. If we can shake any trees for you, let us know.

Well one of those people would have been me. I was fully planning on opening the stuff on Christmas but the inlaws were here staying with it. Every single day they were here they were like What's under that tree (all of my secret whatever gifts were under a separate tree, for no reason other then it worked out that way). It drove them totally bonkers as to why there was stuff still there wrapped up. They switched to asking Anna in Italian, which they know I don't understand much of, but because Anna answers them in English, it was fairly apparent what they were talking about.

It was too much fun to watch them just sitting here staring and staring. It drove them nuts. So I had to trade off opening them for the benefits.

They left yesterday, going over to her sisters, who is expecting in another week or so. Late last night I opened the rest of them, and I have to say I love the wide selection of books that are absolutely perfect, which I now have to slip back into the wrapping as they will probably visit this week sometime (unless the baby comes)

I'm one of the hold-ups. I asked for my SSes to not send their gifts until 2009 as I was on this little trip and I know from experience undelivered parcels would not be kept long enough otherwise.

I got an SS postcard yesterday

I'm away from my house right now, but my boyfriend confirmed that I received a package of chocolates and when I get home tomorrow I will be able to partake in delicious chocolates.

Thanks Secret Santa!

Baxter and Bessie are delighted!

I just received my extra gift from my Houston SS. It is a luggage tag of Santa in his sleigh with WESTIES!!! Oh for joy! I'm currently packing for Sin Do and all of my new luggage tags will be accompanying me!

Thanks to all of my wonderful, thoughtful Santas and to William for being so astute with his matchups.

I just wanted to add that my SS went to all of the trouble to find this tag from a Westie Rescue organization in Michigan! I really love it and know that your purchase helped an organization close to my heart.

Thanks "spontaneous Santa"

I ended up with a second, spontaneous Santa. Not sure if he wants to have his identity revealed so I'll just say THANK YOU for the:

multiple biz and first class amenity kits
LH slippers (already claimed by MrKS)
the awesome BA pyjamas - my first airline pyjamas ever!
and... an FT luggage tag

Thanks again... you truly demonstrate the kindness and coolness of the FT community.
