Well, as Santa's #1 elf, Paul, advised me to expect a package via FedEx, I believe that I got another SS gift today from NC. Again, I'm waiting! Wow, I've got 3 nights of Hanukkah covered!

UPS surprised me today by delivering said package, so everything should ship on Monday.

So.. a package shows up at my doorstep yesterday -- as I open it, the strong scent of coffee hits me. My first thought is.. "ah, to throw off the dogs!".. Even better, it was 3 pounds of gourmet coffee from Philly! Thanks so much to the Secret Santa who understands my caffeine-fueled work life.
I had been searching around for a "Great Moodini" poster for some time now. It's going to the frame shop on Monday! The 'onion goggles' are an amazing invention. Someone had waaaay too much time on her hands to come up with that one. (wish it were me, of course)!
I had also been contemplating buying one of those milk-frothers, but never quite got around to it... now I have one!!! The wreath-clad "holiday" spatula is fixin to get used tomorrow morning unless I decide to be lazy and go to a nearby taqueria instead. Trust me, it WILL be put to good use.
Thank you both for your great gifts! Merry Christmas!
My Santa Elf has sent his 3rd package from House of Miles. This one is a notebook from aLoft. Hmmm, I wonder who
- went to the sale at the Princeville in Hawaii
- posted the first ever report on the Joule Hotel in the Starwood forum
- went to the aLoft launch party
Just read this and it sounds like me. Wow. What a coincidence. Hard to believe there's someone else in FT land like me.
AB – Thank you so much for the ticket to the Empire State Building and for the gift my Fed Ex man brought today. I can not wait to open it, but this I will; on Christmas Day!
Thanks again – Stars4SA <Margaret>
Had a package waiting for me when I got home this afternoon. Thanks to my SS for the great Pilates kit and UA drink chits. The vintage ones are way cool!! Now I need to get off my keister and make use of the pilates set.
Well this Santa's Elf finally got over to Fedex Ground today & shipped out her SS recipient's gift. Also discovered FEG doesn't care if it says Secret Santa as the return address, as long as the fedex acct # is correct LOL.
This little Santa's Elf also had to go to Plan B yest to avoid turning into a Grinch when she stopped by a national retailer of the type that her SS recipient would like getting a gift card from in addition to the other gifts, only to discover their 'system was down & wouldn't be up until Monday so they couldn't do gift cards'. What the heck? 12 days before Xmas, busy time of shopping, the system goes down & IT goes home for the weekend! Fire the lot of them; geesh. So much for corporate earnings. Anyway, Plan B worked. No gift card but more gifts.
Now this Santa's Elf needs to relax with a Xmas dvd on the telly & a glass of champers. Being Santa's Elf is a lot of work

Cheers.
They couldn't do gift cards? That's just wrong! Glad you did have a Plan B though.

Amazing, or sad, that we have become so dependent of computers. When "the system" is down, too often everything comes to a stand still. I see it at work, too; systems are down, and everyone stands around with nothing to do!
At least the FT Santa(s) has other options!
