Welcome back! I don't know my schedule this far in advance but if I'm around would definitely be interested in meeting somewhere.

I'd be up for something on the 31st. Keep us posted. My neighborhood? G'town/Glover Park -- but not great for metro.

I should be able to make something that evening depending on where it will be.

Alright folks - looks like 1/31 is gaining some traction - anybody want to pick a place and make it tentative - so I can then update the first post?

If I did that, I would surely be a no show.

I normally work in Reston on Wednesdays but that can change at any time. So, I am reluctant to pick a place and then have it turn out that I am working in Fredericksburg that day.

Heya, kids, I've been sidelined for a bit slammed at work and celebrating some personal milestones and such so I just found out about tonight but already have an obligation. I'll keep a better eye on this thread I PROMISE.

Also, when does the post-Freddie weekend planning committee meet?

New restaurant from the washington flyer email, no idea how it is ... it's in a good location if you need an idea for the next meet.

• Michel Richard of the renowned Citronelle has opened his French-American bistro Central (1001 Pennsylvania Ave., NW; 202/626-0015; www.centralmichelrichard.com). Unlike Citronelle, enjoy straightforward dishes such as lobster burgers, fried chicken and mussels at very modest prices.

Thought I would give this a bump. Anyone want to pick up the ball? If I am left to pick a place it will likely be in Bethesda just inside the beltway as I have to pass that way regardless of where I am working.

I'll be in town on the 31st, as it looks now. I'm in, but not in a position to set a place/time.

Since when is a lobster burger straightforward?
