I had a few FAs on a flight once ask me about the FT tag on my backpack. The funny thing is, they had serviced our flight coming to my turnaround destination (ORD-BWI-ORD) on an MR, and were a little uncertain about the MR concept. I tried explaining, they just didn't get it

I managed to clear the standby list on a US flight (EWR-CLT) on Saturday morning... spent the 1.5 hr flight nodding off and drooling on my jacket.. as we stood up to deplane, the guy sitting next to me saw my Flyertalk tag and introduced himself as carl1P.

I saw an FT'er getting off the Metro at West Falls Church today at 4:30-ish. Literally saw the tag on his bag as the door was closing, so I didn't get a chance to find out who! Fess up, mystery FT'er!

I've had my tags on for a couple of years and nada for me. I have met other FTers randomly, but realized it when we began talking about a topic from a recent thread and one of us said "I saw that in FT", but nothing caused by the tags. I have noticed people looking at them to see what they said.

Over on the UA board they have a game where you write your name in the Hemispheres magazine so you can check is someone else has been in your seat. I'm batting zip on that one too.

I've yet to find anyone else in that game, but have had my signature spotted three or four times. It helps apparently to be flying in F IME--I guess FT'ers are more likely to be upgraded (or in paid F for the fortunate few )

Any other day of the week, and I would've said that was me! But alas, I was winging my way to OAK on 7/14. But I'll be watching out for other West Falls Metro folks now!

Or, perhaps, they've temporarily gone blind and are unable to type in their report.
