After talking with Bike Guy, I will officially do a Mileage Run seminar in Ann Arbor that werekend-- a 101 along with a SkyTeam 201. No firm times are set, but the scheduling will mesh with planned Do activities. Watch the Mileage Run Seminar thread for more specific info on the seminar.

Add MsCE & me to the "highly probable" list.

EDIT: Make that "Oh Yeah!" ^
We're looking forward to seeing the gang again!

> Briarwood HIX had spaces (as of tonite); BestWest on Jackson is -zero-.

+ Gotta remember to pack my Green & White garb

A good spot to gather to eat in the area with the hotels (Briarwood/South side) is at the Damon's. Rent a banquet room to have everyone seated together. Certainly nicer places for quality of food but convenient nonetheless.

I tend to try and find the cheaper, as in free, options. We had a private room at Zanzibar last year for dinner, and a private room at Webers for brunch. Neither cost extra.

can't make it.

Dave,
Glad to see that you are hosting the DO again this year. Last year was a fun, laid back affair. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend as I have to travel to PDX on the 22nd for my Grandmother's 100th birthday party!

I guess your grandmother only turns 100 once. I understand.

Just to explain so people who didn't attend last year understand. For everyone who had cash to cover their dinner, all the cash was put on the table and then a "short straw" was drawn by those wanting a chance to charge the groups dinner to their mileage earning credit card. Someone got a quick 350 miles or so, IIRC. And then they got the cash on the table to pay their credit card bill.

I probably will be in AA that weekend, and would like to meet some FTers.
Now I have to convince GF that this is a good idea - especially with the milage run seminar

Just mention "free trips to Hawaii, the Virgin Island, Central America" that usually does the trick...if not and you're a NW/CO elite then mention that she'll always fly in F that should push her over the edge

Actually the Op-Up on UA FRA-ORD in January will definetly help the cause, but the problem is that she might not want to give me up for the whole weekend, so I have to pick carefully, which events to attend

It may not be a Fields in July, though. The Macys conversion is slated to happen before that.

True but either name typically invokes the same response from a spouse (BTW: I'll always call it Hudson's....that always got me a smile from the loyal Dayton's fans in MSP)

Door Prizes

The first of the door prizes have arrived.

The 3 categories will be

1) Most EQMs flown to event.

2) Best presentation.

3) Best tip.

T and C- You can only win one door prize. And whatever other rules I decide to make up at the last minute.
