I'll be in Kansas City the weekend of August 26-28.

I plan on eating BBQ and steak. For those of you that can't make it the previous weekend, feel free to join me.

Sat 8/26 Q39 4:00 BBQ

Sun 8/27 Plaza lll 6:00 Steak

On arrival Saturday, I'm headed to Arthur Bryants for lunch at 1:00 ish.

Can you make it?

I have a late day flight on Monday. The plan is to have lunch at L.C. or Joe's.
I want to try several BBQ places while I'm in town.

I'd like to meet up, maybe at Q39 and pick your brain on stuff to do in NYC since you run the BRT.

Put down Bob and I as joining for dinner at Q39 on Saturday.

Will you be making a reservation? Q 39 gets so crowded and without a reservation we could be waiting an hour at that time for a table. I strongly suggest you make a reservation

Susie

If you're a steak fan, you should consider coming down to Buenos Aires for COW DO over Labor Day weekend.

If it is 4:00 we will be there. If it is 9:00 we won't. Just can't eat dinner that late.

I'd vote for 4pm. By 9pm they're liable to be out of ribs...again!

I guess this means I'll have to ask for a kids sandwich when I head to lunch at Joe's (gas station location) at 1:00, after my flight arrives from LGA

Sorry for the delayed response. I was at a trade show. Thanks for the assist FriendlySkies. ^

I just wanted to say thank you to all the posters that gave me advice on this thread and the MCI DO BBQ thread. ^

For anyone 'searching' BBQ in Kansas City, go to LC's for burnt ends. I never had burnt ends before this trip. I tasted a couple of samples at Joe's Garage (gas station location) the day before, and they were pretty good; but LC's takes burnt ends to a place I've never been before. I had that sandwich at 1:00. My next meal was cereal at 0800 the following morning.
