Elizabeth (ldsant) reached out to me in 2008 at the passing of my partner. Her kindness and caring will truly be missed in the world, especially in these times.
May she rest in peace.

Liz and I first met several years ago at a mod do. We became friends and took some trips together. She was quirky and fun. She once had guests in a hotel in Seattle thinking she must work in the lounge there because she would talk to everyone and give them suggestions on where to go in her favorite city. The hotel manager began to wonder who this person was that got so many thanks in their Yelp reviews. She had a child-like wonder and view of a lot of things. Despite being well travelled, she could see everything with fresh eyes and be awed by it. The last time I saw her was in San Francisco with her niece, who she adored, as she did her nephew. We sat in a wine cafe and Liz had us laughing for hours. Liz was also generous. She never passed by someone in need without giving to them. I will miss her.

iluv2fly, thank you for confirming this news about ldsant.
l'etoile, and others, thank you for adding your personal recollections. While I wasn't privileged to have known Liz as well, she was a unique individual and she gave a lot to FlyerTalk and to so many others. May her family, and many friends find comfort in this sad news.

Sad and shocking
I too saw it on FB from someone's post.
We initially didn't get along too well but over time we appreciated each other's fondness for FT and travel. I always liked her spirit and admired her devotion to her niece and nephew.
Rest In Peace, Liz.

Wow. No way. I just can't.
Lisa and I have been moving and missed this. We're gutted.
She posted on FB to Lisa on the 27th!!! Lisa feels terrible because she never even 'liked' it.
I always said that I was jealous because Liz loves Lisa more than I do.
Just gutted.
Makes us want to do a DO and reconnect with our FlyerTalk friends.
Tomorrow is not promised.
