We're a party of 8. If we can get 10, I can make a reservation.

How will you know who we are? Just hang at the host desk and wait for the party of 8 to be seated. Other clues as to our identity... talk of miles and points.

Whoever gets there first, please tell them we need a table for 8. I arrive MDW at 11:30, and expect to make it on time.

Dan

Unfortunately, I'm going to put you one person further from a reservation as I have to back out due to work.

Not to worry. Since you posted as a maybe, you weren't on the list. United747, maybe next time.

We're up to 8.

Very good lunch. Great company. Fun - no drama.

Thanks Dan for organizing.

Definitely fun with great company. And no drama, except for the issue of the timing of the soup/salad delivery...but I think we can all live with that.

Thanks for setting this up, Dan!

Not that I want to cause trouble in the great pizza debate, but here goes.

My friend took a powder on me for lunch the next day. I used this as an excuse to go to Lou Malnati's. This was 'deep dish' vs the Giordanos 'layered' pizza.
I perfectly enjoyed the Giordano's pizza. It was a nice change of pace from New York pizza. No harm no foul. Then I had Lou Malnati's. BIG difference. This one is more traditional deep dish, and what I expected in Chicago.

Truth be told, I enjoyed Pizzeria Uno more than the others (on East Ohio Street) the last time I was in town. I went there with my son and Sweet Willie. That must have been 10 years ago.

Thought you'd like to know.

It was nice meeting legalalien and plainsman, and always a pleasure hanging out with my longtime Chicago friends.

Someone told me about Johnny's pizza. Maybe another time.

If he perfectly enjoyed it, I doubt he understands!
