Hmm ... with sunrise in June around 5:30am and sunset 15 hours later, I'm not sure there would be any snow robust enough to stop you.

Cross posting-

Just FYI- it is winebeserkers day today (01-27-2017), and many wineries would offer great on and off radar wines for very good prices. They start around 7:30am PST and go all day. Great sales, great wines, pick the EMH vineyards cab package and thank me later

(dh, sorry for jumping into the thread)

I know some of you also know beserkers, but just in case

I'd throw an offer:
1990 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve- would that work? should I supersize it?

ACV has always been a WineDo favorite, and a sentimental one at that.

I've added to the waitlist.

*** Wine announcement ***

I asked one of my favo(u)rite vintners (who specializes in single varietal and blended Rhones) if he had anything from 2007 remaining in his cellar. Alas, he had a few bottles, and said "2007 was a very good vintage and it has been hard holding on to the remaining bottles."

So, in keeping with the theme, we present our humble offerings for WD10.

(1) Frick (Dry Creek Valley) 2007 Counoise (California has a whopping total of 56 acres of Counoise planted.)

(2) Frick (Dry Creek Valley) 2007 C2 (as in C squared) - 60% Carignane, 40% Cinsaut (There are 7 acres of Cinsaut planted in all of Sonoma County.)

I trust they've held up pretty well. I last had some of his 2007s about a year ago and they were great.

This is the 10th anniversary of our wine dinners. Our theme this year is wines (from anywhere) that are 10 + years old. Don't have a wine that old, our custom at these dinners is to bring a Champagne or a sweet wine.
Another sub-theme is unusual varietals. Doesn't have to be 10 years old, but bonus points will be awarded. A list of these varietals will be posted at another time.

If you're new to the dinner, the buy in (verifable on CellarTracker or Wine Searcher) is $35.00
Interested in joining us?
After looking around the the past month i kept thinking the 10 year + was the rule, now I reread the requirements.

Hard to find 10year old especially me who doesn't keep wine in the house.

I tasted some interesting wine a few weeks ago which might be good but it was cheaper than $35.00 a bottle.
