I got the letter today, I passed the July, 2016 North Carolina Bar Examination. It's the hardest thing I've ever undertaken and the hardest I've worked at anything in my life. I literally jumped and shouted at the mailbox when I read the letter.

Nah, I want to do criminal defense, it's what I seem to be the best at and what my internship was in last summer. Plus I went to a small state school in North Carolina, it's well known for practicing law locally, not so much if I wanted to work for an airline or hotel

Congratulations! I remember when I passed my first bar exam in NY back in the 80's the conventional wisdom was that if you saw a letter-sized envelope in the mail you passed, but a larger packet meant you failed because they were sending along the materials needed to re-take the test. The word spread quickly that day at my firm that people were receiving their results in the mail and I can remember as clearly as if it was yesterday running home at lunch with my stomach in knots and hands trembling as I opened the mailbox. When I saw the small envelope I knew I had passed and it was as tremendous a relief as you describe.
P.S. Don't entirely forget the RaP and similar things...someday you might need to take another bar exam to practice in a state where you can't get a waiver or reciprocity. I know, right now you're thinking "not in a million years" but that's what I said, too.
