Ditto. It sounds amazing. I was planning to spend pre-DO week in Chiang Mai, but now I'm considering LP instead.

Interesting trip for after the event. First round starts Jan. 16th, although not too many good matches at that point.

I'll be heading to Luang Prabang at the end of the month to prepare for the pre-do. With hotels for Luang Prabang, I'm going to try to find two nice ones that are close together, so don't book anything yet.

Luang Prabang is high on my bucket list. I'm a definite maybe. I'll have just returned from Israel and Jordan so will have to see what's happening on the work front and whether I can sneak away for a few more days.

Sorry to report that when I checked in at the lounge recently, the
concierge said there had been some changes to the benefits for
exec lounge members, the most relevant being that booze is free
only from 5:30 to 8. Also, apparently, no Oscar's breakfast, but
I'll HUCA and see if that holds.
Nicer concierge says that Oscar's
breakfast still is a possibility.

Bummer re alcohol restrictions, things usually get worse, rarely better.
Re Oscar's, lousy to take away the choice, but on my most recent stay at Conrad, I actually tried the Exec Lounge breakfast for the first time, and it suited me just fine. Of course, if the Oscar's option is unavailable it may lead to overcrowding in the EL - guess that is something for Conrad to sort out.

Updates...
Luang Prabang itinerary should be posted next week. I'll list hotels and planned tour activities.

With Singapore, I'm reworking most of the Saturday plans and expect to have a new daytime activity as soon as I see flight schedules get posted in mid July. Possible Saturday day trip if workable to Penang is what I'm looking at.

I loved LP. I was there two years ago and it was record cold in January. Very smoky as all the residents had their heaters going. The restaurants are great as are the hotels. I did a day trip to the waterfalls in addition to just wandering around the town.

I am arriving in SIN on an already planned 3 week trip to Malaysia. I was on,y going to spend 1/12 and 1/13 there but maybe I'll stay for the DO.

Can you put me down for an interested please?

Happy to see another SIN Do on Flyertalk. Thanks for organizing it again in SIN.

Time to join in again after three years of absence.

I will be in SIN from Friday to Sunday, unfortunately no time for any pre Do activities, although they sound very nice and I really would visit Laos once in a while.
