Yes, and this is almost the same as for SIN-AKL/CHC-WLG. However WLG-SIN departs in the evening, which is more convenient than WLG-AKL/CHC-SIN which lose a whole day.

My reference to schedule was which days of the week, since it does not operate daily.

I caught this thread while travelling and forgot to post - am very much interested in this and even more so, the pre-Do! It would be good to visit the pre-do country legally and officially, I believe there is no evidence of the previous "excursion"!

I'm interested, though would probably only make Monday events. In addition to Monday the 16th, Friday the 20th will be a holiday for me, so I'm planning to take the 17th-19th as vacation days and spend the week in Asia (don't yet know where), with SIN as a good jumping-off point.

I am definitely interested in returning. I kicked myself this past January for not going to the KUL event. Looking forward to hearing about the pre-DO as well. Laos has never really been on my radar, but in an event like this, it would be a great destination.

A quick update regarding the pre DO. The location is Luang Prabang, Laos. Flights are available on Air Asia from DMK and SGN, but hold off on booking hotels for now.

I've never heard of Luang Prabang before today. But after looking at some pictures, it looks fantastic.

The initial post says no post DO but a pre was possible. Just wanted to clarify if this is now a post DO event.

I think you mean pre-Do.

Not sure how the flights will work though, the only AirAsia flight heading into DMK that day is a late afternoon flight so either you would need to fly out on the 12th, or miss drinks on the 13th.

I think bschaff1 meant to book the trip from DMK or SGN to Laos on Jan 10.

As for getting from LPQ(Laos) to SIN, i don't see any direct flights, and the flights with connections look pricey.

Very interested in the DO itself. Hoping I can make the pre-DO as well, but I'll confirm closer to the date!

That's what I meant regarding the pre-do. You have a lot of time to book the flight from LPQ-SIN, and I won't even start booking those flights for another 4 months just to see who else adds service to LPQ in the mean time.

$809 ex-SFO right now on DL, or $864-$872 via DTW/JFK for the mileage runners

Excellent. Sign me up.

Sat out the KUL one this year, it collided with other plans.

SIN isn't KUL?

I am interested in the main do weekend, subject to the Australian Open Tennis as usual. Unlikely for pre or post do events.
