I'm sure it's killing DLroads that he can't make it to WineDo. He loves bubbles.

Good choice Pinky.

For those of you that may be in no position to drive, walk, or take the subway after dinner, Uber has the following promo for existing users > Promo code ANDROIDPAY is valid for $10 off one trip taken by May 31. I realize the expiration date is before our dinner, but free is free.

If you aren't an existing Uber customer, get a free ride in any participating city by using code danh932. After you sign up, you can take advantage of the Androidpay promo. 2 for 1.

Want another free ride, use VIA. $10 credit. Use code dan2e3. If you prepay with them, the ride cost is $5.00.

Another free ride is with GETT. They cost $9.00 anywhere below 110th street.
Sign up for a free $10 credit. Use code GTDANHA2.

Looks like 4 free rides. Disclaimer, when you sign up and use the service, I'll get a ride $ credit.

Please post your wines. We're 4 weeks out.

Looking forward to this.

I am working with monitor for the wine to bring, so won't really know until a few days prior.

I do agree that the wine list has some nice bubbles. Even though I won't be there, if anyone wish to outsource Wines of the Pacific Northwest for the dinner- please send me a PM/email. I will be able to bring them in advance to NS and have them saved for you.

Come a day or two earlier, and I'd open something for you before I head to Washington (DC )

We're on long final approach to dinner. For those that know what you're bringing, please post asap. Anna cordelli is getting back to me with what she's bringing. All of this will help the others in deciding what wine to bring. When in doubt, as my friend DLroads would say Champagne.

I know a few of you have mentioned that you'll be getting wine on arrival in NYC. When in doubt, see above advice.

Treveri near Yakima does some interesting bubbles, but they are not allowed to be called Champagne due to some stupid French bias against bubbles better that theirs.

I will be bringing a 2006 Bookwalter Protagonist that I have been storing in my cellar that belongs to the Elvins which will be their offering. That will be one of their bottles. I also understand that a Red Mountain Fidelitas may make an appearance.

Fine bubbles are always welcome at Wine Dos, Dones, and Dids.

Yes. But it's a matter of nomenclature here. "Champagne" vs. sparkling wine. (Of course, there are bound to be some non-PNW wines too.)
