For those who don't read the match.com thread but want the details on chgoeditor's proposal by the fiance, this is a specific post w/ the information. No need to read the very long thread (which rarely is about engagements); just this post.

I can't remember what the chicks full screen name is, so she is from Chicago this the chicago and she is a chick. This is how I remember her. But you could have asked me.
Everyone but the BF forgets that she has a cat... Leo, he came before the dog.

Thanks all!
It's been a crazy couple days, and now I'm rushing out the door to go watch my Northwestern Wildcats in the Outback Bowl (and thinking back to 20 years ago this morning as we made a very early morning trek to Pasadena so as to arrive at the Rose Bowl before the city starting shutting down roads for the parade).
I joke that when he comes over, I'm third in line for greetings because both of them adore him.
Thanks Sharon!
Good point! (Pardon the pun.)
She was actually a proposal bearer (At least, the initial part of the proposal.)
But he'd make a darn cute ring bearer!

BTW - after all the congrats are done, the conversations re: wedding venues, booking it to earn points, flights, honeymoons, etc, to maximize points can start . We've had FT weddings/honeymoons over the years that the bride/groom booked w/ points and/or earned points.
Cheers
