A dreamlifter might be a bit of an overkill for that route, Bundy!

You won't be able to use these passes unless you plan to fly domestically to Osaka far in advanced and leave domestically in April due to blackout dates.

Thanks. I've just copied the links from last year's Do thread but I'll check again and edit the post.

The linked page says...

Travel not permitted

March 6th, 2015-March 31st, 2015/July 3rd, 2015-August 31st, 2015/December 4th, 2015-January 3rd, 2016/March 4th, 2016-March 29th, 2016/July 1st, 2016-August 29th, 2016/December 2nd, 2016-January 1st, 2017/March 3rd, 2017-March 25th, 2017
Shouldn't the blackout be March 4 - 29, 2016?

Thanks for starting the post, SQ421! As always, I'll be working behind the scenes to get the dinner sorted.

Also, there are a plethora of beer bars in Osaka (and a few breweries) so I would be happy to lead a pub crawl (or two, or three...)!

There's two? I could only find the one (Regency) and have made reservation there. If there's two, I'd be up for splitting the reservation and getting more stay credits!!

There is the Hyatt Regency Osaka and the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. Certainly the Kyoto one would work to stay at on Saturday with the schedule.

Assuming the dinner is in Osaka wouldn't that be a bit of a hassle?

Btw, I took a picture of the test questions with answers so I'm hoping you recycle the questions!

Here is a question you might consider.... By the end of construction of the island made for KIX airport, how many feet did the island sink?

A) 17 feet (5 meters)
B) 27 feet (8 meters)
C) 37 feet (11 meters)
D) 47 feet (14 meters)

JR has a special rapid service connecting Kyoto and Osaka stations. It takes 30 minutes, and costs ¥560 (as of June 2015). Last train leaves just after midnight.

And the answer is B.
