The wiki on the full website shows 11. That's not visible on mobile.

I just ran across an article referencing a "reciprocity fee" of US$160. Does this sound right? I knew that Brazil was expensive re: visa, but I was unaware of any such nonsense for Argentina.

Very Real for USA Passport Holders. I have a 10 year Reciprocity Fee Sticker in my Passport. Nowaday (since a few years back) You need to apply Online in advance. Additionally, your airline will not let you board without the proof that you have applied, paid and have the Visa confirmed. There is a Reciprocity Confirmation that you will receive online. (Others whom have more knowlege than myself, please add or correct to my statement regarding the online Visa)

In any event. USA Passport Holders its $160 USD.. (For 10 Year Validity) Have fun in BsAs. Its a great town.

By the way. The DISCO and COTO Supermarkets actually have nice Wine Programs along with several others. I will add some names later for you to seek out.

Thanks and Safe Travels.

Do you mean a genuine visa or the reciprocity fee receipt that formerly was stuck into the passport? It's good for ten years and was about $140 when I got mine. Now the procedure is to print the receipt yourself (from the online application) and carry it with your passport.

AFAIK a USA passport would only need a real visa if permanent residency or a work permit were involved.

The Argentina reciprocity fee system has the advantage over Brazil of avoiding the nonsense of applying for a visa by going to a consulate in person, using a visa service, or sending your passport to them. The cost of the fee is about the same, pegged to the amount (in dollars) that the USA charges Latin American citizens for visas to visit the USA.

MSPeconomist, you are correct! I just looked at my old passport (and it does not say Visa) It must be a Reciprocity Fee. Yes, its for 10 years and IIRC it was $160 then. The new system is a Paper that is printed online (Be careful, I have heard reports of people losing the form and unable to go online and print a duplicate) In any event, I like the sticker as I can use my old Passport to show the sticker upon arrival and use my new Passport for Entry.(with the Sticker, well same size of a standard visa cannot be lost)

As an aside, Thanks for your detailed information about the TWOV in the PVG forum. I used that for more than 72 hours a few months back. Sorry to hear what you went through, but I digress..

So sorry folks for the wrong termination of Visa (it is not) and in any event its still $160 USD for USA Passport Holders. Thanks and Safe Travels

Hi Alex. I took the liberty of updating the attendees list, adding my friend, mad4miles, and his son, who has no handle but he is going mad for miles and points as well. Not sure why he hasn't bothered to post, but I know that they are coming, are ticketed and are staying at the PH, as am I. They arrive Friday, I believe. I don't get in until about 10am on Sat from MXP-JFK-EZE, (actually, it's much "worse" than that, as I start in PVG on the 31st of Aug, go to HKG for a night, then YYZ for a night, then MXP for a night,) so hopefully, the wine tasting will be Sunday? or, at least not too early Sat afternoon.

Slight possibility opening up for me to make it down Sunday morning, would participate in Sunday & Monday activities. Have we got tentative schedule?

As the locals in MCO always say, watch out for the rats there (actually, mice-Mickey and Minnie.)
