CHICAGO - West Burb Neapolitan Pizza (& other items) Dinner Do - Tues March 24
There are 3 approved VPN places in Chicago, one is Parker's Restaurant in Downer's Grove (very close to Oak Brook).
VPN = certified Neapolitan pizza http://americas.pizzanapoletana.org/
Who's interested in a 6:30PM dinner at Parker's on Tues March 24?
Parker's serves much more than pizza, here is their website: http://parkersamerican.com/

Seems like the Chicago burbs are always planned when I already have travel planned. OMA this time. Maybe next time.

Parker's is my favorite restaurant for lunch. I have eaten here many times. However it is not a pizzeria, it is an upscale restaurant with linen table cloths, fine china and excellent food. The VPN pizza is listed as an appetizer for dinner. I am not certain how comfortable we or they will be with a large group coming in for pizza and beer. I had a talk with the hostess about this and she was not encouraging.

But on a serious note, if a group of 8 walks in and orders what they want from the menu, pizza & beer, who is Parker's to decide what is comfortable?
I'm not expecting to raise hell, just order what I want to order. Last time I was there I skipped the pizza and had the Charcoal Grilled Baby Octopus w/Salsa Verde, Balsamic Vinaigrette and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a terrific dish.

When all the etiquette issues are cleared up, I will come. It's so close to home that I could walk to the place (but I won't). And I'm into keeping a low profile so I clear steer of hell raising.
