A one-nighter can be hectic, but as long as she's mobile and you're not in a hurry to get off, it should be OK.

My main issue is not just the cruise itself but planning a whole trip around it, since I don't live in either place but rather in San Francisco. I'm still interested though. I love visiting the PNW and had a trip there last year, which included a cruise from SF to Vancouver, and stays in Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland connected by bus, train, and plane. I don't know if I can swing a similar trip this year.... Guess I'd better get on the stick and try to put something together. (Also as a solo traveler, this cruise just isn't such a deal.)

I hope you can work something out. We haven't seen you in quite a while.

One of these days, I'll start working on the pre-cruise. I'm thinking maybe Palomino or Cutter's Crabhouse.

I've started a thread for the pre-Do, to be known as the SEA to Shining Sea Do.

we are going to have to convert our "maybe" to a "no" ... there's just too much else on the calendar the next couple months as we are getting resettled into our Seattle home

we are, however, contemplating the YVR-SEA positioning trip next spring, and will perhaps be able to join the pre-DO dinner in Sep if my travel schedule permits

And, as I said in my OP, if you've never booked with Princess before, let me know before booking, and I can give you a referral that will get you $25 off your booking, making it an even cheaper night.

this looks really interesting, but how do you get back to Seattle?

I live in Seattle so this is an important question. My wife has been prompting me to go on a cruise so this could check the box (so to speak).

Thanks!

I'd recommend QuickShuttle, BoltBus, Amtrak, Greyhound, or fly.

Glad to see something in Seattle, and I'd love to partake. BUT ... I'm a tax accountant and 15 September is the deadline for corporate returns on extension. Chances are good I'll be working that entire weekend!
