Unable to procure André in any size large enough to get to the buy-in level, I have instead, decided to bring the following:

2004 Domaine Michel Turgy Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Millésime

I hope this will be pleasing to the grand overlords of vino esnobismo.

Fear not, the horror of a bonus bottle could still occur!

Dan, I think you need worry not, as I don't expect to ever find André in super-large-format bottles.

I plan on bringing a bottle of 2005 José Michel Special Club.

There is a bottle of NV Camille Savčs Champagne Brut Carte Blanche in my cellar. Perhaps that and a bottle of something non-bubbly (the horror!) between the two of us, but we'll figure it out closer to the date and once we've seen the menu.

Same for me. I recently drank the '05 and enjoyed it. It will be nice to taste this with some age on it.

Yes. I object to the extent that you may consider it, tease us, and then decide not to bring it. You'll bring me back to the days of Lan Chile First Class.

Good memory, Eastbay1k. I remember being alone in LA F flying trans-Tasman SYD-AKL with my own bottle of 1995 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne to finish on the short segment. It was actually the first time I had tried this amazing Champagne. Good memories indeed, it's a shame LA eliminated its F cabin.
