Boston Do October 9; the Shooby Dooby Do
It's the Fall Do (as opposed to the Fall Down, which you might do if you drink too much at the Fall Do)! Given varying midweek schedules and October weather, which can always be a surprise, we're shooting for October 9, 6pm, at Kinsale, which has always worked out for us before.
I got more questions than usual about paying at the last Do, so think of it this way: Take what you ordered and add 25% (18% for tip, 6-7% for tax). As always, if I come out with more money than is needed, the overage will be donated to charity.
If you have never been to a Do, there are always a ton of newbies at these, so you won't be alone. Bring a pen and paper to write down all the tips you'll learn.
As mentioned above, weather is always an issue at this time of year, and our luck hasn't always been the best. Most places that have indoor "rooms" want a guaranteed minimum, so I try to avoid those. As we approach the date, we'll assess, re-assess, and then re-re-assess.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Mike
Update: As many of you know, our Dos are often met with inclement weather. The six day weather forecast is putting the temperature in the 50s, with no rain (yet). In other words, bring a light jacket.
If it does rain, I have asked them to reserve us a spot inside.

I'm a likely but not a definite quite yet. If you want to make me a definite, book up all the LH F awards available around the dates of the DO .

That's a really unfortunate date for me. It's back-to-school night so I'm stuck at the high school giving 10 minute talks about what I'm teaching this year. I'd be up for another date or more frequent smaller get togethers though.
