My travel info is as follows:
I'll be arriving by EuroCity train from Munich at 15:23 on Friday the 25th. I'm staying at the Hilton Innsbruck, which appears to be very centrally located. I depart Monday the 28th from INN on LH 1271 at 14:30, bound for FRA then home to IAD.
As the thermometer heads for another 30C+ day here in DC, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to spending time in the mountainous Tirol region.

Oh, and count us amongst those who have had enough of the excessive heat and humidity here on the East Coast, and are looking forward to the fresh mountain air.
Funny story: My husband said to me, "I know you; you're going to be cold the entire time." "Don't worry. I'll just layer. It's late September. How cold will it be? 30s?" He looks at me like I'm crazy. "No, dear, I don't think so." "What? 20s? Really?" "Colder than that dear, especially at night." I begin to panic. "Do you think it will be in the teens? Lower than 10ş? Oh dear, how tall are these mountains?" Suddenly, a light bulb goes off over his head and he says, "Wait, are you talking Fahrenheit or Celsius?" Oops.
Cultural. Differences.

logistical question
Someone posed this question, and after initially pooh-poohing it
I reflected and thought, h'm, maybe this is a concern after all.
I'm taking the bus from and back to Munich and didn't think
anything of it, but with this refugee crisis and recent border
closures, is there potential risk in this plan?
Not expecting anyone to have a crystal ball, but just asking
if there are feelings - informed or uninformed, both are
welcome - about this.

Dear all,
first of all my apologize for my late reply.
Here are the latest details for the INN Mountain DO.
We don't have to make prepayments, so therefore we will don't need an eventbrite registration for this DO.
For every person it is necessary to buy a Innsbruck Card, because for some parts of the program you need this card.
More informations can be found here:
http://www.innsbruck.info/en/experie...ruck-card.html
- Friday evening - dinner at the mountain 1905 Meter above the sealevel, which can easily reached by cable car (http://www.nordkette.com/en/the-moun...estaurant.html) - which will start at 7 pm. You need the Innsbruck Card for the cable car.
- Saturday - short sightseeingtour and we will visit the Swarowsky factory (http://kristallwelten.swarovski.com/.../index.en.html) You need the Innsbruck Card for both activities.
- At the evening we will have an exclusive dinner at the Bistro Gourmand de Thierr (which is located near the Hilton Hotel) - reserved only for us and will also start at 7 pm.
- Sunday brunch will be held at the soul kitchen (www.soulkitchen.world), which start at 10 am.
Could you please send me an PM or answer here, which events you would take part.
I will stay at the Hilton Hotel and also my +0.5 und +0.75 will be here.
See you soon.
Greetings from Austria.
