SFO / San Francisco Dinner Aug 5, 2014 5PM @ Pauline's Pizza
I fly in from ICN around 11:30AM and fly out around 9:30PM.
Is anyone up for a late lunch/early dinner in SFO area? I could even make it into town if need be.

SFO meetup Aug 5, 2014?
I'll likely be in town for a gathering. Would be great to meet some FTers.
Something simple could be done like a pint in Vesuvio (famous haunt of beatnik poets) or coffee at Cafe Trieste and food nearby. Much better than the airport, if willing.

That could work.
Let me know what time you would be free to meet up.
also, do you have a car? do you need a lift or can offer a lift?

Hi, Jason! I might be able to get together for some food & drink on Aug. 5. Lots of possibilities in SF. The problem is too many choices.... Any particular type of food that you are interested in?

What about the places LeviFlight mentioned?
Like I mentioned I can head into town or rent a car and go near the airport. As long as other FTers are joining in I'll make the trip

Sure, those places are in North Beach (Italian) and could work well. There are quite a number of places to eat in that area.

Put me down as a maybe. That's two Tuesdays from now. I wouldn't mind daytripping to the city for some Humphry Slocombe earl grey plum sorbet. Will let you know as soon as I know.

if you're looking close to BART in SF
one suggestion - Cupola Pizza in the Westfield Mall - brought to you bu the same folks that own One Market and other high end places. Good for small groups.
If you're up for an early dinner, Pauline's Pizza is close to 16th st BART and offers excellent gourmet pizza and amazing desserts. They take rez for groups of 8 or more.
Basil Thai in SOMA near Civic Center BART is also good for small groups.

I can vouch for Pauline's having excellent pizza and a nice low-key ambiance. Pica Pica Arepa Kitchen is also nearby, more casual and delicious.

pros and cons
Pauline takes rez for 8 or more but doesn't open till 5
Pica Pica is open all day but no rez so a large group might be problematic
Depends on how many folks.

Sadly can't join (in SJC an hour south at a conference all day into eve). But if you're looking for a casual place for pizza, another option I'd vouch for: South Beach Cafe. Low key, can accommodate small and large size, and open all day. Down near waterfront, short walk from brannan muni stop, and walkable from Caltrain.
