Howdy all,
I'll be arriving AUS on the afternoon of the 16th and am basically free for the weekend, then attending HashiConf Mon-Weds and departing on the evening of the 20th. Have vague plans to meet up with aztimm maybe Sunday but also open to suggestions...

Since you're staying downtown without a car, we can meet down that way.
For another event last year, we did a bat tour that left from near the Hyatt hotel, just south of the lake:

I'd be up to do that again, if there's interest.
Of course there's other options, if you want to be more creative, such as being in a kayak.
Regardless, I recommend watching for the bats at least once. They nest under the Congress bridge. You'll see people lining up 30 min before sunset.

Definitely interested in the bats.
I'm also told there's a trivia night Tuesdays at the Flying Saucer that is frequented by FT types?

In looking at the conference schedule, dinner + bat tour on Sunday probably works best for me. There are some reception-type things Mon/Tues evenings, but I can probably duck out mid/late evening (it looks like there are two trivia sessions on Tuesday night with the later one at 10pm, although I can be free before that too)

While at the SIN do last week, I met a few people (one in Austin, one in Houston) who expressed interested in another Austin-area dinner. Is anyone else interested?
Perhaps early/late February?
The last time we met was up in Georgetown, and we agreed that the next would be somewhere near the Domain. Any suggestions?
