If anyone is around this weekend, I would love to meet up. Anywhere in Austin would be sweet. Never met another person in The Hobby in real life -- haven't been doing it for long.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread and see if anyone in the Austin area is interested in a do. Could be a one-shot or a regular thing.

I'm in the northern part of the area; live in Round Rock and work in Georgetown. So if we did something up here, I can be more involved. But I'm willing to go elsewhere in the area too.
The Domain area isn't too far for me.

(and I'll subscribe to this thread so I don't miss any replies )

I'd be interested in another Austin DO, I attended the last one 2-3 years ago when United hosted us at ABIA. I live in Georgetown

From what I read, Alex' MS activities have come to a screeching halt

Since there's at least 2 of us near Georgetown, how about we try something at el Monumento? It is huge, so we shouldn't have any problems getting something.

Does lunch, dinner, or other work?
Day of week?
When? I'm tied up for the next few weeks, but have time in early Aug.

Works for me. I live in north Austin. During weekdays, dinner works best for me. I can also do lunch or dinner on Saturday.

Would 6pm work? I'm flexible, I could do lunch, dinner, etc.

I'll try to attend. That's the day we're heading back to Georgetown from Galveston. I'll put it on my calendar

Are we still on for this Thursday, 8/10?

Does 6pm still work, at El Monumento?

Should work for me, though my exact arrival time will be dependent on Austin and Round Rock traffic...

Ha! I got caught up in that yesterday!

For those coming from the South, which is probably everyone... I recommend exiting at Williams Drive, then taking the frontage road to Forrest (just after the KFC a bit before Williams Dr), then turn onto Morrow to Austin Ave and go South.
Your GPS would probably direct you to 29 to Austin Ave, which can be a bit congested during rush hour.
Even if you miss the turn near the KFC, I think Williams Drive would be a little faster than 29/University Dr.
