Sounds like a sensible idea. However, I'm not sure if you can reserve seats at the TISCO Travel Information Center at the airport. You may still have to go to a JR station to reserve seats.

Just talked to violist tonight - turns out there will be THREE of us on the JL flight, all heading to the Grand Hyatt. We'll get there as soon as we can...please wait for us before you go yatai crawling.

After 2.5+ hours of drinks, 'crawling' seems doubly appropriate!

I'm not sure if anyone else is a baseball fan, but I plan to head to the only game going on over the time of the FUK DO which is on Thursday, April 2nd at 1800: http://bis.npb.or.jp/eng/2015/games/gm20150402.html

If anyone wants more details or wants to meet up ahead of time let me now. I land at 1515 and will first check into the GH and then head out.If you've never been to a Japanese baseball game it is an awesome experience.

Checked schedule ages ago, especially since Hilton right next to dome, bummed won't make a game.

Sounds like great fun, count me in.....
I'm also at the GH.

Tickets available online, or at the Yafuoku Dome?

They are available online. I will check on making reservations and see about sitting us together. What is your budget? My family will be with me so if you don't want to be around kids you might not want to sit with us! It should be a great time!

I don't really mind children, the noise in the stadium will be loud anyway :-).

No problem with paying a bit extra for a decent seat, I think I saw they range from something like $40-65. No problem with that (or whatever it takes), only the reservation fees that I found were a bit ridiculois. That's probably because I used an English language site.

Don't ask why they insist on spreading blue plastic sheets on the ground for their picnic.

Now you've made me curious :-). It clashes terribly with the colors of the flowers though....

Are the picnics particularly messy or violent?

Also, I'm in seat 2C on NH2145 on Thursday.

These both have 48 hour cancellation policies.

These are still available, but if there is no interest for these I will be cancelling in 24 hours (have a busy week of travel coming up and I'd hate to forget ...)
