AS 71 is just about to land in GST. That means the three folks remaining in GST are pretty much guaranteed a ride home tonight.

LIGrin, me, and my +1 landed in JNU a bit earlier today and had a nice bite to eat at Silverbow Bakery. (She's off to SEA on DL in the morning.) wolf539 made it back to ORD a short while ago, and CDKing is (if I'm following him correctly) stuck in SEA due to a canceled transcon?? Makes no sense, but whatever. I haven't heard from GrjApp, but AFAIK she had a morning flight out of JNU this morning and so presumably made it out on-time.

I think that's all of us. For those still en-route, safe and expedient travels! It was great having everyone. Hope to see you all again soon...but if not sooner, there's always next year!

P.S. Oh, and definitely post your pictures here!!

Made it out and back home, was on the same JNU-SEA flight as wolf539 and CDKing with a smooth transcon after that.

JNU was still foggy this morning and our pilot made a point of mentioning the advanced instruments on the AS plane that allowed us to get out, and the lack thereof that had the competitor still sitting at the gate I was very thankful for said instruments, otherwise the rest of my trip could have taken a turn for the worse for sure.

Interesting. So DL was on the ground at JNU but wasn't able to take off without the custom RNP procedures? I thought take-offs in inclement weather were not an issue--that it was only arrivals that were problematic.

Maybe there is a rule about the minimums needing to be enough for an emergency return to the airfield in the event of a problem during take-off...

Actually, looking at the DL flight's status, they were on time, so not sure why that was even mentioned, other than bragging rights maybe!

AS taking a cheap pot-shot at DL, maybe. Remember, they don't like each other very much right now.

Glad you made it home as expediently as possible!

Waiting for JNU-SEA to complete the Alaska adventure.
Those of us on AS77 this evening enjoyed a leisurely day of hiking (or fishing), capped off by a couple of beers on the deck and a school bus ride to GST.

Flight proceeded without incident, unless you count the empty F cabin. Presume that the continuation to ANC is en route.

Thanks again for a great time. Already looking forward to next year.

Well....one could hope. When do you get to ANC and what are your plans?

Ideally, I should be arriving late night Thursday night, barring border troubles, car troubles, or something interesting enough to stop for (although I've been on that road three times already). The weekend is (mostly) free...

FT was having a database error.

As far as my 'missing phone' it ended up in an odd compartment as my Pre Check didn't do anything in GST... not even PreLight so threw off my regular routine- turns out I have a 'phone sleeve' on the strap of the backpack I used- found out in JNU yay.

Oh and it turns out I had clarification on one of the fish- it was an Irish Lord.
