OK we will keep our lunch reservation for Saturday and drive to Nepenthe afterward just for the view if the weather is nice. Accuweather says sun. I have never known the predictors to be 100%. We also want to peek at the monarchs. See all of you Saturday.

If anyone flying into SFO or SJC has the opportunity to VDB on Friday, courtesy of the World Series, you have my blessing to take the bump. And if, I mean when, the Giants take Games 3 & 4, you might just get lucky NOT getting home on Sunday.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to add to my Google map in old timey Classic mode. I'm thinking editing a pre-Google Maps revamp map is no longer possible.

Any computer-y people out there? deirdre?

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park will be the scene of the annual Big Sur River Run 10k 10:00 am Saturday. This is not a suggestion to enter the race, but a warning that it may impact the area.

When/where are the Pt Lobos group planning to eat lunch?

I may be the first to "arrive" for the do. Got here about 6pm Thursday accompanied by a beautiful setting almost eclipsed sun and serenaded by a large murder of crows caw'ing with all their might while circling overhead. I'm at th Monterey Cookhouse on Fremont watching the game. Looking forward to seeing everyone else!

Cheers,

Doc

califcoast, I'll add you to the wiki for dinner Friday.

Since there are only 6 of us, it would be easy to buy bagels from the Bagel Bakery in the morning, meats, cheeses and salads at Trader Joe's.

Or we can hit Safeway at the Crossroads after Tor House.

Or we can take some snacks to Point Lobos, then head down the coast to Nepenthe or up to Carmel Highlands Inn for a late lunch.

We can talk about it on Friday.

I don't want to box us into a timeframe, but we'll talk about it at dinner tomorrow.

Hmmm, I missed that 10k event on any calendar I consulted. Thanks for posting.

Look for the loudest bunch of troublemaking drunks you've ever seen in your life...that'll be us

Also, currently on board DL 1706 DTW-LAX about 2 and a half hours out of LA. Well on my way to the DO! ^

We look forward to seeing you at lunch!

This is the address; if using GPS, make sure to go to the location in downtown, not Cannery Row.

Ambrosia India Bistro
565 Abrego Street
Monterey, Ca 93940
Tel: 831.641.0610

I'm wearing a green shirt and khaki shorts. I'll tell them we're the Flyertalk party if you're a little late.
